About Associate Professor Leo Leader's Practice
Associate Professor Leader specialises in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has cared for mothers with normal, uncomplicated pregnancies as well as those with high risk complications. He has particular experience in the impact of maternal stress, anxiety and depression on pregnancy outcomes as well as on fetal behaviour.
At the Royal Hospital for Women, Associate Professor Leader has conducted a high risk obstetric clinic and has acted as a consultant to a midwifery group practice.
He has also conducted a fertility clinic at the Royal Hospital for Women and a clinic in the gynaecology department, where he has provided specialist services for women with abnormal cervical smears.
He sees private patients in the Professorial Suite, Level 2, The Royal Hospital for Women, Barker Street, Randwick.
From August 2018, Associate Professor Leader will no longer be providing an Obstetrics service. This means that at the end of August 2018, he will no longer be delivering babies or managing the care of pregnant patients.
He will continue to see patients for general and specialist Gynaecology consultations, including Menopause management, Fertility management and recurrent miscarriage. He is also an experienced colposcopist treating women who have abnormal cervical smears.
